April General Meeting - What's a barrel adjuster?

What:  April TBC Meeting
When:  Thursday, April 5, 7pm
Where:  Hardesty Regional Library
             Fossard Auditorium

Program:  Simple at-home maintenance and on-the-road repairs you can do yourself; REALLY, you can!

You can do this!  Whether it's fixing a flat or adjusting your rear derailleur, any cyclist can do the "simple stuff" to keep their bike humming.  Whether in your garage or on the road, there are a handful of simple adjustments and repairs YOU CAN DO YOURSELF!

That's what our April Club program is all about.  It will be hands on and we'll expect you to step up and turn the screwdriver, fix the flat, adjust the derailleur.  We'll be right there to show you how.

Here's what we'll be sharing:

  • Fix a flat
  • Adjust your brakes
  • Change your brake pads
  • Clean your chain
  • Straighten your handlebars
  • Adjust your seat
  • Adjust your front and rear derailleur
  • Pack your seat bag with the right "stuff"

Want more?  Just ask and we'll share our expertise or find someone who can.

Feel free to bring your own bike or just bring the front wheel if lugging the bike is too much trouble.  We'll have bikes you can practice all of this on, but if you want to see it done on your own bike, bring it along.  We're in the auditorium at the library, so should have plenty of room!

Here's hoping we see you there!
