To get to Beggs…
Hwy 75 South
Right (west) on Hwy 16/Alt 75 for 4-5 miles
Just past the railroad overpass, turn right on Broadway.
Parking is at the First Baptist Church on Osage between Main and 5thStreet.
When you enter Beggs, turn right off of Hwy 16/75 Alternate onto Broadway.
Then turn left at first stop sign, which is Main Street.
Next, turn right onto Osage, this is the first right turn off Main.
Park in the lot to your immediate left at the north end of the lot; furthest from Main Street.
This lot is just east of the McClendon/Winters Funeral Home. The Funeral Home uses this lot.
The First Baptist Pastor Gore gave us permission to park here.
Tour is 20.4 miles each direction.
Reasonable roads until you enter Dripping Springs Sark, then very steep. Walking is okay. Dripping Springs is a popular fishing lake. On Highway 16 keep some room between bikes so vehicles don’t have to pass a string of a dozen bikes while pulling a boat.
